Terms of use
Tourism Brasil describes places and how to visit them. It sells nothing, books nothing and quotes no prices. These terms explain what you can expect from the pages and what you cannot.
What this site is
Tourism Brasil is an independent publication about travelling in Brazil. Reading it costs nothing and requires no account. By using the site you accept what is written on this page.
We are not a travel agency
We do not sell tours, tickets, transfers or accommodation, and we cannot create, change or cancel a booking. We have no access to any operator booking system. A booking is always between you and the operator or the property.
No prices and no availability
You will not find prices on this site. Tour fees, park entry, transport and accommodation in Brazil change often and vary by season, by group size and by operator; a figure published here would be wrong within weeks and would mislead someone planning a trip. The same goes for opening hours, daily visitor quotas and availability. Check both directly with each attraction, operator or property before you travel.
Accuracy and what can change
Pages are written with care and describe places as we understand them at the time of writing. Nature and infrastructure move on: a road is cut, a river clouds after rain, a trail closes for management, an operator stops running. Use the site to plan and to decide where to go, and confirm the practical details close to the date.
Your own judgement
Many activities described here — diving, rafting, abseiling, caving, trekking, swimming in rivers and in the sea — carry risk that no text removes. Follow the instructions of the local guide and the responsible authority, respect signage and closures, and decide for yourself what suits your health, your experience and the conditions of the day. Nothing on this site replaces the briefing you receive on site.
No official status
This is not a government site and represents no tourist board, park authority or public body. For visas, entry requirements, health rules, protected areas and anything with legal effect, the responsible authority is the source, not us.
Using our text and photographs
The text, the page structure and the photographs belong to the publication or to whoever licensed them to it. Quoting a short passage with a visible credit and a link to the page is fine. Republishing a full page, translating it, or feeding the site wholesale into another product is not, and nor is using our photographs without written permission.
Names of places and operators
We name attractions, towns and operators because a guide that does not name them is useless. Naming one is not a recommendation, an endorsement or a commercial relationship, and no one pays to appear. If a page ever carries a paid or affiliate link, the page will say so where the link sits.
Errors and corrections
If something here is wrong, tell us through the contact page and say which page and which language version. Corrections are applied to every affected version, not only the one that was reported.
Applicable law
The site is published from Brazil and Brazilian law applies to it. This does not remove any right that the law of your own country of residence gives you as a consumer.
